Important: Available Bluetooth mobile phones must be shown on the MMI display Link.
Turn the rotary pushbutton to select a mobile phone and press the rotary pushbutton.
To bond the mobile phone with SIM Access Profile, turn the rotary pushbutton to Car phone and press the rotary pushbutton. A 16-digit PIN number Fig. 1 will appear in the MMI display.
To enter the 16-digit PIN shown in the display, select Yes Fig. 1. Enter this PIN number on the mobile phone while the vehicle is stationary. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry, or
To enter any 16-digit PIN, select No Fig. 1. Enter any 16-digit PIN code via the speller Link. Then enter this 16-digit PIN on the mobile phone while the vehicle is stationary. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry.
Confirm the bonding process on the mobile phone when prompted to do so. The SIM card symbol -1- Fig. 2 will appear in the status line of the MMI display when the mobile phone has successfully bonded.
Enter the PIN code for your SIM card Link.
You can save the PIN code for your SIM card for the automatic PIN recognition function only after the mobile phone has been bonded to the car telephone kit. To do so, confirm the prompt on the MMI display with Yes or change the settings on the Setup menu Link after entering the PIN for the SIM card for the first time.
If your mobile phone does not support the SIM Access Profile, you can insert the SIM card into the SIM card reader Link or into the handset* Link.
Note
  • You can delete bonded Bluetooth devices using the function Delete external devices Link. Bonded handsets* have to be deleted one at a time.
